Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, originally Tibbetts Bros. Funeral Home, was established in Belleville, Kansas in March of 1947, by brothers James and Dean Tibbetts. They purchased the Lahodny Family Funeral Home located on 18th Street, and eventually moved the funeral home to its present location in the former R.M. Armstrong residence, at the corner of 20th and K Streets. In 1963, Kenneth Fischer, a Republic, Kansas native, joined Tibbetts Brothers as funeral director, and he eventually president of Tibbetts Bros. Inc. until his retirement in 2008. Randy Paugh began his employment in 1989, and currently serves as managing funeral director. Joseph Blecha joined the staff in 2018, and currently serves as Assistant/Apprentice Funeral Director. Since its inception, Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home has served the families of North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska with comforting and caring service. Their mission has always been to meet and exceed the expectations of each family they are privileged to serve.
