Aida Neidig

Aida (Basil) Neidig was born on June 25, 1952, in Mindanao, Philippines, the daughter of Alejandro and Tomasa (Macas) Basil.

Aida married Gilbert Craig Neidig on December 24, 1996.

Early in her life, she worked as a nurse aid and, later in life, she valued being her own boss as a Mary Kay saleswoman. Aida also loved being part of a socially active Filipino community in San Diego, California.

Aida passed away on July 30, 2020, in Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 5 days.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Craig.

She is survived by her son Chris Strnad and his wife Jelena of Salina, daughter Jackie Nugent of Kansas City, Missouri, and son Ricky Streight. Aida is also survived by her grandchildren, Sophie Messick, Iva Strnad and Leah Strnad, and a sister, Judy Morgan and her husband Kevin of San Diego.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 5th, 2020, at 12:30 pm, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
