Amy Diane Johnson was born on January 14, 1974, the daughter of Paul and Marcia (Novak) Chopp.
Amy grew up in Munden, where she attended Munden grade school, and was a member of St. George Catholic Church. She graduated from Belleville High School with the class of 1992.
Throughout her life she carried a constant love for animals and pets. This love extended to a love for gardening and flowers. Her time was also spent baking various treats for friends and family, this paired well with her attention to detail that showed in her various scrapbooking and stamping hobbies. But most of all she loved her three children Makayla, Trevor, and Zach.
Amy passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 51. She is preceded in death by her mother Marcia Chopp.
Her memories will be forever cherished by her children, Makayla Skidmore and her husband Isaac of Smith Center, sons Trevor and Zachary Johnson of Salina, her father Paul Chopp of Munden, sister Sandra Hovis and her partner Amy Offenbacker of Lincoln, Nebraska, niece Victoria Binson and her husband Dustin and their son Quinn, nephew Devan Hovis, other family members, and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. George Catholic Church in Munden, burial will follow at St. George Catholic Cemetery, rural Munden.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 29th, from 1pm - 9pm, with Rosary/Vigil Services at 6:30 pm, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville. The family will greet friends at the funeral home, following the Rosary service.
