. Art attended school at

in 1969. After attending Beloit Vo-Tech, he spent 42 years working for the Republic County Roads Department. Art passed away from cancer on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Belleville Health Care Center at the age of 60 years, 7 months, and 18 days. Over the years he enjoyed tinkering with cars and pickups, attending the races at the Belleville High Banks, viewing entries at the Belleville Car Show, coyote hunting, chauffeuring his dad, then later his mom, observing the youthful antics of his nieces and nephews, and cruising in his pickup. Art was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Barbara Jean Williams and Connie Houdek. He will be lovingly missed by his brother Herman of the home; sisters Rose Evans, Thompson Station, Tennessee, Mary Koss and husband Mark of Haddam, Kansas, and Nancy Miller and husband Ivan of Superior, Nebraska; eleven nieces and nephews, his Republic County Roads Department family, other family, and countless friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Presbyterian Church in

. Burial was in
Tabor
Cemetery
