Dorothy "Carolyn" Chartier, 68, went to be with her LORD and Savior Thursday, March 22, 2012.  She was born June 23, 1943 to Samuel Byrd and Dorothy Mae (Hall) Howard in rural Agra, Oklahoma.  She passed on peacefully at home in Haddam, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers James W., Elgin N., Nolan, Tom and a sister Lavern. She is survived by her husband of 50 1/2 yrs., James of their home; sister Rita Jefferies, of Colorado Springs;  brother Raymond E. Howard, Denver;  many nieces and nephews,  great and great-great nieces and nephews, many of whom remember Aunt Carolyn's Charm School She loved bible study and filled three bibles with notes, highlights, and references.  She was also an artist in oils and pastels.  Carolyn loved interior design and decorating.  Professionally she worked  in the food service industry, convention meeting sales for Hilton Hotels,  Republican party politics,  computer sales and contract negotiation, antique collecting and most important a housewife and homemaker. There will be no visitation, funeral services will be 4:00 pm Friday, March 30, 2012 at Drinkwine Family Mortuary, Littleton Co.  Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Meadowlark Hospice, Clay Center KS.
