Don Anderson

Don H. Anderson was born May 5, 1934 to Harold and Leona Anderson in Topeka, Kansas. His family moved to Belleville in 1948 where he lived the rest of his life graduating from Belleville High School with the class of 1952. He passed away at his home Wednesday October 1, 2014 at the age of 80 years. On August 23, 1953 he married Betty Jean Supernaw. To this union were born 4 children: Kathy, Susan, Steven, and Keith. Don was a businessman in Belleville since 1952. He founded Mid America Truck Equipment, Inc. in 1975, where he worked until his death. Don was a dedicated member of the Belleville Fire Department for 61 years. He served on the Belleville Fair Board Race Committee for 9 years. He enjoyed flying with the Belleville Flying Club and was a member of the United Methodist Church, National Truck Equipment Association, Belleville City Council, Belleville Eagles Lodge, Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever, Belleville Country Club, and morning coffee club. Don also enjoyed volunteering for the Belleville Police Department. He loved to follow his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. One of Don’s passions was his involvement with Lovewell Lake State Park Development. He enjoyed traveling, boating, skiing, hunting, and fishing. Christmas was always special! Don loved to dress up as Santa Claus and visit the homes of many friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Corrine Ray. He will forever be remembered by his sister, Diana Bell, wife, Betty and family: daughter Kathy (Dean) Zook, Larned, and their children Dr. Aaron (Roxi) Zook, Pratt; Holly (Stephen) Milligan and Zokora, Great Bend; Kelsey (Jason) Lueger, Topeka. Daughter Susan (Dr. Rick) Kueker, Concordia; their children: Dr. Ryan (Jessica) Kueker, Cadence and Regan, Wamego; Julie (Charles) Bowers, Kassidy and Madalyn, Concordia; Dr. Richard (Rachel) Kueker, Avery and Ellesyn, Concordia; Dr. Matt (Paige) Kueker, Concordia; Richelle Kueker, atty, and fiancé Luke Malone, Concordia; son Steven (Kathy) Anderson, Belleville and children: Bryan (Celia) Anderson, Graceyn and Gavin, Spring, TX; Dr. Kylee (Joe) Levin, Rees and Brek, Little Rock, Ark; Abbey Anderson, Manhattan; son Keith (Deb) Anderson, Belleville and children Niki, (Tyler) Hoefler, Manhattan; Ashley (Brandon) Pierson, Belleville; Josh Anderson, Manhattan. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, Kansas with Pastor Emily Meckley officiating. Burial will be in the Belleville City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Belleville Fire Department, Methodist Church, or Lovewell State Park.
