Donald Charles Pack was born on the family farm near Munden, Kansas, on October 9, 1934, to Bert & Mildred B. (Elliott) Pack. Donald attended Rose Creek Center District 116 grade school, and then graduated from Munden High School, class of 1952.
Following high school, Don joined the US Army in October 1954, and was honorably discharged in October 1956. Don then started his over 30 year career working for General Foods in Houston, as a machine operator. Don then retired to Belleville, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on the farm.
Donald passed away on April 20, 2021, in Belleville, at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 11 days.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Doyle Pack and his wife Erma, brother Harold Pack and his wife Lois, brother Paul Pack, and brother-in-law Bud Beneda.
He is survived by his brother Ray Pack and his wife Sharon of Salina, sister Norma Beneda of Belleville, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, April 24th, 2021, at 10:00 am, at Ida Cemetery, rural Munden, with Pastor Lance Rundus officiating. Public viewing will be Friday, April 23rd, 2021, from 9am – 5pm, at the funeral home, the family will not be present.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Donor’s Choice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
