Grace Burandt

Grace Rosella Morehead Burandt, daughter of Elmer and Lona (Naysmith) Mosier, was born February 14, 1922 near Republic, Kansas. She passed from this life late Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 92 years. Grace lived on a farm near Republic most of her childhood. She attended the Milner rural school and graduated from Chester High School. In January 1945 she married Keith L. Morehead and to this union three children were born: Kathleen, Karen, and Donald. Keith passed away in 1987 and Grace married Norman Burandt in 1988. Grace was very active in and with the senior community. She loved to travel, play cards and volunteered for various activities encouraging and helping others. She was also an active member of the Central Christian Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and a host of friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents and husbands Keith and Norman. She will be forever remembered by her children Kathleen Jensen and husband Dennis, Belleville, Karen Jensen and husband Benny, Sun City West, AZ, and Donald Morehead and wife Judie, Gillette, WY; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; sister Melba Versaw, Fountain Springs, AZ; and two nephews Scott & Jeff Versaw.
