It is with heavy hearts and profound love that the family of Grace Ann (Woodman) Richardson announces her peaceful passing on July 1, 2026, at Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas, at the age of 90.
Grace was born on August 13, 1935, in Deshler, Nebraska, to Harris and Enola Woodman. Grace grew up in nearby Hebron, Nebraska, and graduated from Hebron High School. In 1954, she married Raymond Eugene “Gene” Richardson in Hebron. They had four children and raised their family in Belleville, Kansas.
Throughout her working years Grace was an administrative assistant. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Belleville. She was a member of the Touchstones social and service club in Belleville. She enjoyed playing Mahjong and golfing in her retirement years.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene and one brother, Roger Woodman. She also was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters- in-law.
She is survived by her four children; Charles (Donna) Richardson of Glenwood, Iowa, Peggy (Randy) Patton of Meriden, Kansas, Julie Richardson of Topeka, Kansas, Lisa Lewis of Lake Oswego, Oregon and 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne (Kay) Woodman of Paradise Valley, Arizona and her sister, Sharon (Larry) Hulse of Bruning, Nebraska and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a Hospice of your choice.
Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home is assisting Grace’s family with arrangements.
