Raymond Richard Boyer was born October 11, 1943, at Aurora, Kansas, the son of Edward J. and Delia (Breault) Boyer. He passed away at his home on October 11, 2026, with his family by his side. His family moved to a farm southwest of Belleville when he was 1 month old and he lived in or near Belleville his entire life.
In 1965 he was united in marriage to Susan Pelesky. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on June 12th. They were blessed with two sons. He was the maintenance director for USD 427 before joining his brothers in partnership of Boyer Roofing.
His greatest joy was time spent with family. He loved fishing and camping with his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed being a Cub Scout leader and baseball coach. Many miles were driven to ensure he didn’t miss a ballgame, play, or concert. Later, he and Susan enjoyed many adventures in their fifth- wheel camper.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Susan, of the home; his sons, Michael Boyer (wife Heidi) of Concordia, Kansas, and Brian Boyer (wife Cheri) of Salina, Kansas; his grandsons, Connor Boyer (wife Abby) and Braydon Boyer; his two great-grandsons, Hudson and Keller, all of Salina, Kansas, who were the absolute joy of his life; his brothers, Eldon Boyer and John Boyer (wife Linda) of Belleville, Kansas; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Amelia Pelesky; his brothers, Leland, Paul, Eddie, Duane, and Junior; and his sisters, Hazel Prather and Ilene Kelly.
