Shirley Howe

July 29, 1942 — October 5, 2017

Shirley Diane Howe, daughter of Wesley and Evelyn (Mahan) Persinger, was born July 29, 1942 near Scandia, Kansas. She passed from this life Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 75 years. She grew up in the Scandia area attending schools there. On November 10, 1961 she married Daryl Howe at Superior, Nebraska. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years together. Diane and Daryl settled in Belleville and she worked various jobs and spent many years at the Hospital in the housekeeping department. Diane enjoyed her flower gardens, especially the yellow roses; spending time outside on their swing; being with her family and her dogs Cody & Oppie. Diane loved the simple things in life and especially the quietness of her home. She was preceded in death by her father Wesley; brothers Lynn and Wesley (Corky) Persinger. Diane will be forever remembered by her husband Daryl of their home; son Wesley Howe and wife Cess of Accra, Ghana, Africa; grandson Johnathan Howe; mother Evelyn Persinger-Hanel (Lavern), Belleville; sister Lyndal Frybarger (Don), Belleville; brothers Faylon (Sheila) Persinger, Belleville, Gene (Willeta) Persinger and Larry Persinger of Hutchinson and all their families; Daryl’s family: sisters-in-law Juanita Ashby, Belleville, Irene (Lonnie) Schmidt, Garden City, ID, Viola (Gary) Wyatt, Mountain Grove, MO, Barbara Wilson-Doty, Windsor, MO; brothers-in-law, Danny (Kelly) Howe, Hebron, NE and John (Kellie) Howe, Superior, NE; several nieces & nephews; other relatives and friends.
