, the daughter of Wesley C. Pelesky and Grace (Larabee) Pelesky. Shirley was known by family and friends as Jean. She graduated from
Haddam
High School
in 1950. Jean was married to Virgil E. Skipton on February 14, 1951. Their marriage of 29 years brought forth three sons, Jeff, Brad, and Dein. Jean was a Sales Representative for many years for Olan Mills Studio. She enjoyed square dancing and singing with the Holiday Island, Arkansas Singers. A devoted grandmother, she was extremely proud of all her grandchildren. She is survived by three sons: Jeff (Jana) of Bentonville, Arkansas, Brad of San Francisco, California and Dein (Dee) of Prescott Valley, Arizona, four grandchildren, Anji, Nathan, Alayna, and Ashley; and one great granddaughter Addyson. Jean loved her family dearly, believed in God firmly, and felt that things in life were guided by a higher source. A grave side memorial service and inurnment was held at the
