Violet I. Awalt

Violet Isabelle Awalt, 97, of Belleville, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026.

Violet was born on August 20, 1928, in Belleville, Kansas, to Guy and Mattie (Hunzeker) Noble. She attended Belleville schools and remained a devoted member of the Belleville community throughout her life.

She later married the love of her life, Martin Awalt. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with two daughters, Sharon and LaDona. Much of Violet’s life was devoted to caring for her family, tending the farm alongside Martin, and creating a warm and welcoming home.

Violet will be remembered for her kind heart, dedication to her family, and the many lives she touched over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mattie Noble; husband, Martin Awalt; brothers, Lloyd Noble and Harold Noble; sisters, Mable Wakefield and Esther Gray; son-in-law Daniel Racette; and great-great-grandchildren, Thomas and Zachary Ludwig.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Sharon Huffman and LaDona Racette; sister-in-law, Jean Noble; grandchildren, Shane (Nicole) Huffman, Brad (Charlene) Huffman, Curtis (Cindy) Huffman, Marc (Dana) Racette, and Tami (David) Ludwig; as well as 14 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, and extended family members, and friends.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, rural Norway.

Visitation and viewing will be two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.
