Virginia Swift

There will be no public visitation.

Virginia Lee Swift was born March 13, 1928 in Wallula, Kansas near Leavenworth. She was the daughter of Elmer and Mary (Bailey) Morris. She passed from this life Saturday, May 24, 2014 at her home in Belleville, Kansas with her son Elmer by her side.  Virginia was a homemaker and mother for her three sons, Elmer, Floyd, and Robert. She lived in the Kansas City area for almost 74 years before moving to Belleville in 2003. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Mary; and her son Floyd E. Swift in 2013. She will be forever remembered by her son Elmer M. Swift of Belleville and Robert D. Swift and wife Katie of Island Lake, Illinois; grandchildren Joshua, Chris and Norma Jean; and two great grandchildren. Graveside services and interment were conducted Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Belleville City Cemetery with Pastor Mark Imel officiating.  Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas was in charge of these arrangements.
