Benton "Benny" Jensen

Benton Dean Jensen, 72, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Benny was born on April 3, 1947, to Julius and Vivian Jensen. He had been retired for many years.

He had an infectious laugh that will always be remembered, and he taught his kids the value of hard work.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Karen of Kackley; one son, Matt Jensen of Scandia, Kansas; three daughters, Brenda (Norbert) Boes of Grand Junction, Colorado; Mandy Jensen (Robert) of Talmo; Marty Varnon of Loveland, Colorado. He is also survived by one brother, Dennis (Kathleen) Jensen of Belleville; six sisters, Ronnie Kenyon of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Jeannie Allen of Scandia Kansas; Loyale of Potee, Texas; Virgene of Potee, Texas; and Debbie (Ed) Samuelson of Courtland, Kansas.

His grandchildren that benefited from his many life lessons are Kyle and Ceci Papez of Grand Junction, Colorado; Mark and Kelsey Papez of Fairbanks, Alaska; Sydney and Dylan Wood of Grand Junction, Colorado; Spencer and Amanda Jensen of Grand Junction, Colorado; Caleb Jensen of Fort Collins, Colorado; Mariah Jensen of Denver, Colorado; Robert Jensen of Salt Lake City, Utah; Brennan Jensen of Meeker, Colorado; Stephen Boes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Alex Boes of Seaside, Oregon; Sage Prescott and Clayton Rundberg of Talmo, Kansas; Codi Jo Varnon and Copper Jensen of Loveland, Colorado.

Great Grandchildren include Jensen and Tember Papez of Grand Junction, Colorado; Kylie and Nolan Papez of Fairbanks, Alaska; Baron and Aaron Boes of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Willow and Kai Boes of Seaside, Oklahoma, and Caleb Pardi and Max Jensen of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Vivian Jensen of Norway, Kansas.

Private family inurnment services will be held at Valley Cemetery, rural Norway.

Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home assisted the Jensen family with these arrangements.
