Bernetha "Bert" Sasser

Bernetha Darlene Sasser (Bert), 86 of Belleville, Kansas died Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Belleville Health Care Center. She was born April 21, 1933 in Republic County, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Gladys (Dodge) Morgan. Bert retired finally from being a waitress for 40 years and working at the Food Mart for 20 years. She enjoyed gardening and quilting blankets for anyone that needed one. Bert was active in the VFW Auxiliary and past Madam President of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Her parents, two sisters, two brothers, great granddaughter Alyx Sasser, and grandson-in-law Joel Rodriguez preceded her in death.

Bert will be forever remembered by her sisters Cheryl Eickman (Steve), Belleville and Amanda Honeycutt (Wendall), Texas; son Robert & Deb Sasser, Belleville; daughter Rhonda Sasser, Tecumseh, Nebraska; grandchildren Jaymie, Jerad and Jordon; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.

Bert’s wishes was for direct cremation. Graveside services and inurnment will be 10:00am, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Zion Cemetery rural Talmo, Kansas. The family will be greeting family and friends Friday, July 26, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials should be written to the Golden Bell Haven, Republic County Hospital, or Belleville Healthcare Center. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
